Equatorial symmetry/antisymmetry of stationary axisymmetric electrovac spacetimes
Two theorems are proved concerning how stationary axisymmetric electrovac
spacetimes that are equatorially symmetric or equatorially antisymmetric can be
characterized correctly in terms of the Ernst potentials \E and or in
terms of axis-data.Comment: 8 page
General-relativistic Model of Magnetically Driven Jet
The general scheme for the construction of the general-relativistic model of
the magnetically driven jet is suggested. The method is based on the usage of
the 3+1 MHD formalism. It is shown that the critical points of the flow and the
explicit radial behavior of the physical variables may be derived through the
jet ``profile function."Comment: 12 pages, LaTex, no figure
Generalization of the Kerr-Newman solution
An exact four-parameter solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations is derived. This solution constitutes a generalization of the Kerr-Newman metric. It incorporates a quadrupole deformation of a rotating charged mass. © 1992 Plenum Publishing Corporation
Exterior gravitational field of a charged magnetised axisymmetric mass
We present an exact stationary asymptotically flat solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations that may describe the exterior gravitational field of an arbitrary-axisymmetric-mass distribution endowed with electric-charge and magnetic-dipole moment. The full metric for the solution obtained is constructed in explicit form. © 1993 Società Italiana di Fisica
